In addition to this they won the Suffolk Primary Cup in 2002 beating Dennington United 3 – 1. The club, which has excellent facilities, is administered by Fiona Chapman. Her husband Paul has managed the 1st eleven since 2002/2003 in succession to the late David Muttitt. David’s son Daniel is the current manager of the 2nd eleven who have been operating since 2001/2002 winning division 6 in 2003/2004. At present there are six of the original team that played in the first match in 1999 still playing for the club. Remarkably the 1st team have never lost a league game in the month of September; in fact between 1999 to 2004 inclusive they won all 21 games. Arguably the best result to date must be the defeat of former senior side Bramford United 2 – 1, in December 2003, when only a division 4 team. The club has not been without it’s tragedies losing promising goalkeeper Philip Govier to a tragic cricketing accident in May 2002 and then later that year in October the loss of the man who inspired the conception of the club David Muttitt (1st team manager 1999 to 2002). More recently the club has lost it’s Chairman and enthusiastic grounds man (1999 to 2005) Trevor Jackson. They are all sadly missed.
